The preview updates as you type. Edited variants stay as you left them until you revert or reset.
The generator turns your server's name, channels and first steps into a welcome message in four styles: short, friendly, professional, and one themed for your community type. Each variant updates as you change settings, and you can edit the text with a live preview that shows how Discord formatting will look.
It writes for two situations. A pinned post in your welcome channel is addressed to everyone who arrives. A bot greeting addresses each new member with your bot's placeholder, such as {user}.
Everything runs in your browser from fixed wording, with no AI and no account.
Warm and energetic tones add emoji; neutral removes them. The Professional variant always stays neutral.
Choose a pinned post or a bot greeting. For a bot, enter the placeholder your bot uses for the new member.
Choose two to four actions, such as reading the rules and picking roles. More than that and new members skip them.
Type the channel names exactly as they appear in your server. If you use Discord Onboarding, link to Channels & Roles instead of a roles channel.
Switch between variants, edit the one you like, and copy it. Edits stay until you revert them or reset.

The first step you list is the one most people will take. Usually that's reading the rules or picking roles.
A welcome message is read once, quickly. Put details in the rules or server guide and link to them.
A study server and a hype gaming server shouldn't sound the same. Choose the variant closest to how your members talk.
Post it in a private test channel first and click every channel link to make sure it points where you expect.
Greeting every join with @everyone quickly makes people mute the server. Greet the new member only, or use a pinned post.
A tour of twenty channels overwhelms newcomers. Point to two or three, and let the channel list do the rest.
Plain text such as #rules isn't guaranteed to become a link. Re-insert each channel by typing # and choosing it from the list, and check spelling and emoji in channel names.
New members often don't know whom to ask. Always say where to go with questions.
Each template is a full setup kit. The links under each card open this tool pre-configured for that template.

Greet the person, say in one sentence what the server is for, list two to four first steps with channel links, and tell them where to get help.
Type # and choose the channel from the list; Discord inserts a proper channel link. After pasting generated text, re-insert channel links this way if any stay as plain text. Bots and webhooks use the <#channel-id> format instead.
It's Discord's link to the Channels & Roles tab, where members change their onboarding answers and roles. It's part of Community Onboarding, so it only works on Community servers with Onboarding set up.
Yes. Choose "Bot greets each member" and enter your bot's placeholder for the new member. Placeholder formats differ between bots, so check its documentation.
Standard Discord messages are limited to 2,000 characters. The preview shows the count and warns you if a variant is too long.
Pair your welcome message with a reviewed channel layout, role hierarchy, onboarding flow and moderation plan.
