Pick a name colour
- Rose, Lavender, Sage, Butter, Sky or Peach→ The matching colour role
A soft, aesthetic social server with themed channel names, cosmetic colour and pronoun roles, daily check-ins and a consent-first creative space.
Create a calm, visually consistent hangout where a close-knit group can check in daily, share creative work and customise their look — without the structure of a large community server.
Create each category with its permissions first, then add channels inside it and keep them synced to the category. Channel types used: Text, Voice.
A single calm entrance with the house rules.
The rules, how to pick roles in #🎀・pick-your-roles and who to message if something feels wrong.
One message per role set — colours, pronouns and pings — using reaction roles or a list members can ask a Caretaker to apply.
Occasional updates: new channels, movie nights, server birthdays.
Everyday conversation.
The main chat for anything and everything.
A short intro using the pinned prompt: name, pronouns if you like, three things you love, and your comfort food.
Slowmode: 1 hour, so intros do not get buried
One message a day: a rose (good thing), a bud (something you look forward to) and a thorn (something hard). Reply with kindness, not advice, unless asked.
Celebrate small achievements, from finishing a book to drinking enough water.
Creative sharing with clear feedback expectations.
Share art, writing, craft or photography one piece per message, starting with a feedback label: [just sharing], [gentle feedback welcome] or [critique welcome]. Comments go in a thread on the piece, so each work keeps its own conversation.
Permissions: Allow Attach Files and Create Public Threads.
Pictures, palettes, outfits and aesthetics you love. Credit the source when it is not yours.
Permissions: Allow Attach Files and Embed Links.
Songs, playlists and podcasts.
Voice rooms for hanging out.
Chat, co-work, or share a screen for a movie night.
Cameras and mics optional; for doing your own thing in company, like a virtual café.
Permissions: Consider denying Speak for @everyone so it stays a silent co-working room.
A private space for the people looking after the server.
Talk through concerns, record decisions and agree on responses before acting.
Create roles in this order, from the top of the role list down. A role can only manage roles below it, and bot roles must sit above any role they assign.
Different staff setup or bots? Adapt this hierarchy in the roles generator.
The server owner and any co-owner.
Gentle moderators who keep the space comfortable.
Everyone who has read the house rules.
Cosmetic name colours members choose for themselves.
Optional; lets members share pronouns without typing them in every intro.
Opt-in ping for watch parties.
Designed for servers without Community features. New members see only the welcome category until a Caretaker grants Neighbour, which keeps a small group from being surprised by strangers.
Try Discord's built-in features first. Bot names are examples to evaluate, not endorsements; CordNexa has no affiliation with any bot. Review the permissions a bot requests before adding it.
Colour and pronoun roles are much easier to self-assign with a reaction or button.
Native first: Without a bot, Caretakers can assign roles on request. With Community enabled, Server Onboarding can handle these choices natively.
Examples: Carl-bot
These steps are specific to this kit. For the reasoning behind each stage — permissions, onboarding, testing and launch — see how to make a Discord server.
Pick five or six soft colours before you start. Use them for role colours, your server icon and any banner.
Order roles: Keeper → Caretaker → colour roles → Neighbour → pronoun and ping roles. Colour roles must sit above Neighbour, or Neighbour's colour will override them.
On every category except WELCOME, deny View Channels for @everyone and allow it for Neighbour.
Create each category with its permissions, then add the channels. To type the decorative characters, copy the names from this kit.
Pin a message in #🎨・creative-corner explaining the three feedback labels and asking people to comment in threads. This kit uses a text channel with threads because Discord's forum channels (with tags) require Community features.
Post one message each for colours, pronouns and pings in #🎀・pick-your-roles. Connect them to a reaction-role bot, or list them for Caretakers to assign.
Pin the intro prompt in #🌷・introductions and the rose-bud-thorn prompt in #🌙・daily-check-in.
Use View Server As Role with no roles, then as Neighbour. Confirm new members see only WELCOME.
Swap the café theme for a forest, night-sky or bookshop theme. Keep the structure; change the names and the separator, for example 。 or ✧.
If members use screen readers, use plain names like "tea-room" and add the aesthetic through colours, the server icon and category titles instead.
If your group wants a dedicated vent space, make it opt-in, add a clear content-warning rule and pin crisis resources. Do not make it a default channel.
If the server grows, enable Community to replace the manual Neighbour gate with Community Onboarding, and turn #🎨・creative-corner into a forum channel with feedback tags.
Need stricter or more relaxed wording? Customise these rules in the rules generator.
Welcome in, and make yourself at home ☾ Read #🕯・house-rules and react to let us know you're settled. Then pick a colour in #🎀・pick-your-roles and tell us a little about yourself in #🌷・introductions. There's always a cup of tea waiting in #☕・tea-room.
Want a shorter, professional or bot-ready version? Try the welcome message generator.
Many servers use emoji and decorative characters in channel and category names. Copy the names from this kit, then check how each one looks in your server, because Discord may display or convert some characters differently. Keep one emoji per channel and keep the words readable.
A member's name uses the colour of their highest coloured role. Move colour roles above Neighbour and below staff roles in Server Settings → Roles.
It is designed for small invite-based groups. For a public aesthetic community, enable Community features, use Server Onboarding for role selection, and raise verification to Medium.
