Do you read the manga or light novels ahead of the anime?

- No — anime only, please→ Member
A fan community built around spoiler-safe episode discussion, seasonal series, recommendations, watch parties, fan creations and opt-in interests.
Let fans who are at different points in a series talk without spoiling each other. Each series and episode gets its own discussion post, manga readers get a separate space, watch parties are scheduled events, and fan art is shared with credit.
Create each category with its permissions first, then add channels inside it and keep them synced to the category. Channel types used: Text, Announcement, Forum, Voice.
Rules and news.
Community rules, the spoiler policy and the no-piracy rule.
Watch parties, events and server news.
The spoiler rules in detail: which channel covers what, how long a new episode counts as a spoiler, and how to tag source-material spoilers.
Where spoilers are expected — one post per series per episode.
One post per episode of a currently airing series, titled "Series — Episode 5". Discussion stays up to that episode.
Permissions: Require a tag on new posts; Event Hosts can create the weekly posts if you want consistent titles.
Forum tags: Series tag per show, Premiere, Finale, Source spoilers inside
Finished or older series, one post per series or arc.
Forum tags: Shonen, Seinen, Shojo, Isekai, Slice of life, Classic, Rewatch
Source-material discussion ahead of the anime.
Permissions: Visible only to the opt-in Manga Reader role, so anime-only fans never stumble into it.
Spoiler-free conversation.
Spoiler-free chat. Anything beyond a trailer goes behind spoiler tags or into the episode post.
Slowmode: 5 seconds on premiere nights
Ask for or give recommendations, one post per request, with tags for genre and mood.
Forum tags: Looking for, Recommending, Short series, Movie, Hidden gem
Memes, with the same spoiler rules as #general.
Figures, manga collections and merch. Only link official or licensed stores.
Fan art, cosplay and edits, always credited.
One post per piece made by the poster, or shared with the creator's permission and credit.
Permissions: Require a tag. Allow Attach Files.
Forum tags: Fan art, Cosplay, Edit, Writing, Spoilers
Watching together.
How watch parties work here: everyone watches on their own legal streaming service and presses play together; the voice channel is for reactions.
Text reactions during a watch party.
Voice for synchronised watch parties.
Permissions: Deny Video for @everyone, so nobody rebroadcasts an episode; allow it for Event Host if you use screen share for countdowns.
Moderation.
Coordination and the event calendar.
AutoMod alerts and moderation actions.
Create roles in this order, from the top of the role list down. A role can only manage roles below it, and bot roles must sit above any role they assign.
Different staff setup or bots? Adapt this hierarchy in the roles generator.
Display role for the owner.
Manages configuration.
Enforces the rules — mostly spoilers, piracy links and conduct.
Runs watch parties, polls and seasonal events, and creates weekly episode posts.
Recognition for members whose fan creations are featured.
Everyone who has completed onboarding.
Unlocks #manga-spoilers for members who read ahead.
Show tastes and help recommendations.
Opt-in notifications for watch parties and new episode posts.
Community Onboarding asks how members want to handle spoilers before they see any discussion, and lets them opt in to genres and pings.
Try Discord's built-in features first. Bot names are examples to evaluate, not endorsements; CordNexa has no affiliation with any bot. Review the permissions a bot requests before adding it.
Knowing when a new episode post should go up.
Native first: An Event Host creating the weekly post and a Scheduled Event for premieres works without a bot.
Headcounts for large watch parties.
Native first: Scheduled Events show who is Interested and notify them when the party starts.
These steps are specific to this kit. For the reasoning behind each stage — permissions, onboarding, testing and launch — see how to make a Discord server.
Turn on multi-factor authentication (2FA) for the owner, then enable Community (it requires a verified-email verification level, the explicit media filter set to scan all members, a rules channel and a community updates channel).
Decide how long a new episode counts as a spoiler outside its post, and how to tag source-material spoilers. Everything else follows from it.
Owner → Admin → Moderator → Event Host → Featured Creator → Member → Manga Reader, genre and ping roles.
Create #this-season with a tag per airing series, #series-discussion, #recommendations and #fan-creations, and require tags on new posts.
Deny View Channels for @everyone on #manga-spoilers and allow it for Manga Reader.
Make the spoiler question required and choose default channels. Discord requires at least 7 default channels, with at least 5 where @everyone can view and send messages. Don't include #manga-spoilers.
Deny Video for @everyone in Watch Party, pin #watch-party-info, and schedule the first party as a Scheduled Event.
Use View Server As Role as Member and then Manga Reader: only the second should see #manga-spoilers.
Replace series tags with arc or season tags, and create one post per episode or chapter.
At the start of each season, add tags for new shows and retire old ones; archive finished shows into #series-discussion.
Split #fan-creations into fan art and cosplay forums, and add a rule about photographing other people at conventions.
Use a Stage channel (Community servers) for larger watch-alongs where only hosts speak.
Need stricter or more relaxed wording? Customise these rules in the rules generator.
Welcome to the community! Please read #spoiler-policy first — it's how we keep everyone safe from spoilers. Talk about new episodes in #this-season (one post per episode), ask for recommendations in #recommendations, and share your art in #fan-creations. Watch parties are listed in Events.
Want a shorter, professional or bot-ready version? Try the welcome message generator.
Give each episode its own forum post, keep #general spoiler-free, and gate source-material discussion behind an opt-in Manga Reader role. Discord can't detect spoilers automatically, so structure does most of the work.
Everyone watches on their own legal streaming service and presses play together, while the voice channel carries reactions. Disabling Video in that channel prevents anyone rebroadcasting the episode.
Usually not. A forum with a tag per series scales better than dozens of channels. Give a series its own channel only if it's the community's main focus. Forum channels need Community features.
